Share Cash on Facebook with PayPal Send Money

PayPal has introduced a Facebook app that lets people—or businesses—send money to other users within the Facebook social network. The app, simply and appropriately named Send Money, gives users another reason to spend more time on Facebook.

The Send Money app combines money transfers with ecards to enable people to wish people in their social network a happy birthday, or commemorate a new job, new baby, or other landmark event by sharing an ecard on their wall and sending a monetary gift via PayPal. It is also possible to just send money without having to send an ecard.

Storage plays a vital role in such glamorous and revolutionary IT trends as virtualization, cloud and big data. While these are fun to watch and comment on, one should not forget the importance of product evolution. HP Folio Ultrabook Designed with Business in Mind

HP is jumping into the ultrabook market with the introduction of the HP Folio. The $ 900 portable packs a lot of power in its small, light form factor, but is it enough to handle business computing on the go?

Don’t confuse the ultrabook with the netbook–they are two entirely different machines. The netbook may have paved the way for the ultrabook concept with cheap, tiny laptops, but netbooks were always underpowered, handicapped versions of their notebook relatives. The meteoric rise of the netbook was cut short by the advent of the iPad and other tablets, and has fallen from grace more or less.

Adobe SendNow Adds New Tools to Simplify Sending Large Files

Email is a great method of communication, but it isn’t always the best way to share data. Adobe SendNow makes it easier to share large files with others, and two new updates announced today make it even easier.

Have you ever experienced the joy that is discovering the file you need to share urgently with a customer is too large for the file attachments restrictions on their email server? What’s even more fun is taking that file and compressing it into a ZIP file to try and squeeze under the file size limits and still coming in a few kilobytes too large. Been there, done that.

Dell Is Focused

Last week, some colleagues and I had a chance to spend the day at Dell’s headquarters in Austin, Texas. It was seven hours of meetings, getting a dump on Dell’s various lines of business, and was capped off with a meeting with the man himself, Michael Dell. It was an informative day, meeting with folks who run the storage, server, networking, and channel divisions of the company. I came away with one overriding thought: Here’s a company that is focused.
